Job Description

The selected candidate for this role will function as Section Head and supervise and monitor the instalation, system testing and user feedback of new applications and system software versions including software upgrades. Manages all information technology development projects and liaises with third party suppliers. This would involve specifying the requirements, in conjunction with the end user, for internal systems and information technology related enhancements required. He will be expected to propose improvements to existing information technology related systems and software and manage the implementation of related hardware upgrades. This would necessitate keeping abreast of new developments, methods and techniques in the financial markets and the operation of their information technology systems and applications. Identifies methodologies for standards of deliverables for information technology projects. Additionally he will be responsible for developing, maintaining and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures set for the section. Develops and maintains complete back up arrangements for market and internal systems and assists in the development of disaster recovery procedures for the firm’s systems and applications. He will oversee internal training for all staff.           



Candidate Profile

Applicants should be UAE nationals with Bachelor degree in computer sciences or information technology with ten years experience in a similar position of which last three years should have been at a supervisory level. Working knowledge of computer hardware and software applications is mandatory.
