Our client, a large reputed group with a large diversified portfolio of businesses in the UAE, is seeking a Medical Director for their hospital. The role offers an opportunity for a dynamic Medical professional, who is seeking to develop and build a fine Healthcare business.

 

Job Description

The Medical Director will be responsible for the local strategy, operational performance and growth of the hospital. He would be responsible for developing and executing the operational tactics to achieve the aspirational goals of the hospital; including but not limited to - clinical outcomes, quality, patient experience, compliance, financial outcomes, new services, referral development, clinical operations and medical staff interactions within the enterprise. He would work closely with other Physician Leaders, Physicians, Nursing, Administration, Clinical and Financial staff, Compliance and Marketing. The Medical Director will have oversight of patient care, both in-patient and out-patient, including performance improvement initiatives and evaluate and monitor physician performance, quality care & productivity. Job Responsibilities: Management responsibilities for ancillary services (Pathology & Laboratory, Medical Imaging, Physical Therapy, Cardiopulmonary, Audiology, Nutritional Support). Review all policies and procedures related to medical staff and patient care. Develop annual operating goals and objectives for the Medical Affairs department. Assist the Finance Department with preparation of Medical Operational Budget and Medical Capital Equipment Budget. Contribute to hospital strategic planning. Develop and provide an orientation program for medical staff. Perform all duties in a professional, effective, and confidential manner. Other Duties:. Develop relationships with Department and Ministry of Health Hospitals, other private hospitals, private clinics and physicians. Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies governing healthcare delivery. Assist with any medical staff marketing campaigns.

Candidate Profile

Qualification: MD/DO in clinical practice for at least 5 years post-training, still in active practice required. MBA, MHA or Certification in another relevant field or equivalent education and experience in clinical practice for at least 10 years post-training, still in active practice preferred. Desired Skills and Experience: Demonstrable leadership and achievement in a healthcare delivery system. The ability to relate well with a wide diversity of individuals. A philosophy of collaboration and teamwork. A self-starter with results-oriented personality. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collect and analyze complex data, evaluate information and systems and implement effective decisions. Knowledge of relevant industry and regulatory program policies, procedures, and laws. Demonstrated commitment to learning and progressive personal development Experience in fiscal accountability and budgeting preferred.
