Job Description

The Facilities Management Director shall aassume responsibility for all aspects of facility management for hospital including repairs to facility and equipment. In addition ensures that hospital meets compliance with all regulatory agencies. Develop and manage the annual department operating and capital budgets. Possess knowledge and skills in all phases of hospital maintenance. Assume responsibility for repairing and maintaining all room equipment. Take a lead role in emergency repairs, safety issues, and in preparing for emergencies. Assume responsibility for operation and repair of boilers, chillers, and all associated plant equipment and utilities. Oversee the functioning of building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, and elevators. Ensure that all work sites and documents comply with JCI regulations and local safety regulations. Meets requirements of the Life Safety Code and achieves Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Best Management Practices (BMP). Assume responsibility and accountability for hospital objectives. Possesses skills in managing the hospital utility plan, HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, production floor arrangement and demonstrates expertise in the management of emergency essential electrical systems. Maintain a safe environment and actively work to reduce workplace health and safety incidents.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate must have a valid Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in related field with 5 years of healthcare engineering management experience. 10 years of supervisory/management experience in a hospital of over 100 beds or similar experience. JCI, CARF and Life Safety Code experience. Registered Professional Engineer/Certified Healthcare Facility Manager.
