Job Description

This position serves as the Human Resources (HR) lead within the assigned School following IB curriculum and expanding from its current strength of 700 students to about 2000 students. In this capacity, the position incumbent is responsible for providing overall direction of human resources operations and support across all employee types including faculty and non-faculty employees. This includes interpretation of the HR policies, providing consultation and advice on HR issues and concerns. The position will be responsible for integrating HR best practices within the unit whilst always maintaining a focus on improving staff and student learning. The role holder will be expected to be aligned with the school’s values and possess excellent communication and collaborative skills. Critical to success will be the ability to lead, manage, and develop an expanding school and in particular help to create and lead appropriate learning opportunities for all staff. Broadly, responsibilities will cover the design, development, implementation and review of recruitment procedures for staff across the school, in particular, contributing to new staff induction, training and retention. Provide consultation on salary administration and recommend appropriate salary actions. Serve as a resource on employee relations issues and implement appropriate performance management practices.

Candidate Profile

Applicants for this position should hold a degree in Human Resources and possess prior experience working in schools / education sector. Ideally the incumbent should be an outstanding motivator and should be capable of leading school development and supporting staff.  Preference will be accorded to those with a record of achievement in international education environment with excellent command of spoken and written English and fluency in Arabic will be a distinct advantage.
